Alyssa Love Danger
(recently married) Currently lives and works in Appleton, WI Alyssa grew up in Princeton, Wisconsin, an absolutely tiny, rural town where her graduating class was about 30 students, and it was one of the largest classes from the school. There she was student teaching her final year. At the time she had been interested in teaching art to high schoolers. However, this time allowed her to realize she didn't really want to teach children, even older ones.
She craved for bigger cities and a bigger art scene, and headed to Oshkosh, where she went to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. There she started as art education, but quickly changed her major to a studio bachelor's of fine arts. Her plan was to simply get a degree and join the workforce like many of her peers. However in her final two years her professors really helped her reignite her passion for art and she began to take her work more seriously. In her final year she was helped once again by her professors and she began to contemplate the idea of teaching again. Very shortly after graduation Alyssa found herself missing the atmosphere of the studio. She took this as a sign to pursue her MFA so that she may teach at a college level. She is currently working out of Appleton, Wisconsin and taking a gap year or two to prepare herself to begin applying to schools. |
